4 summer camps in Los Angeles united on Thursday for a day of unity and Ahavas Yisroel at DojoBoom, an extreme air sports and trampoline park in Thousand Oaks.
Hosted by Yavneh Day Camp, campers and staff of Camp Shamayim, CGI Valley and Camp Chayalot (Chaya Tenenbaum) joined together for a unity rally and jumping fun.
The rally was headed by Rabbi Mendel Duchman of Kol Yakov Yehuda together with Yavneh Camp director Srula Chaiton. The rally was marked with camp songs, ruach, tehillim and the traditional 12 pesukim.
There was plenty singing, chanting and dance-offs as the camps showed off their spirit. More than anything else there was a distinct sense of unity as campers from many different backgrounds enjoyed the day together, regardless of what siddur they daven from, or clothes they might wear.
The slogan of “jumping to build the Beis Hamikdosh” was certainly seen as a real sign of achdus in Los Angeles.
A special thanks was given to Janss Marketplace and DojoBoom for everything they did.
