During winter vacation in Ukraine, January 2-8, 2018, the charitable educational foundation Shiurey Torah Lubavitc,h under the auspices of the chief rabbi in Dneperpetrovsk Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki organized three unforgettable camps: Sonya’s camp for girls ages 8-17; Gan Israel in collaboration with camp YEKA for boys ages 8-17 and Your STyLe camp for youth.
All three camps were located on comfortable, relaxing resorts, located in the picturesque surroundings of the capital of Ukraine – the city of Kiev.
All in all, 280 Jews from 14 different cities in Ukraine, as well as from Germany, USA, Israel and Australia took part in these wonderful camps.
The program of each of the camps was very rich and varied, including daily learning programs on various topics related to Jewish tradition, law and Mitzvos, creative workshops aimed at developing the talents and abilities of children, teens and youth, events filled with entertainment, which included cheerful team games, quests, night activity shows, as well as intellectual shows and excursions outside the camp resort to the largest mall in Ukraine and to the amusement park.
One of the main focuses of the camps was the celebration of Shabbos. Friday was filled with activities related to preparations before Shabbos, filling the environment with uplifting, spiritual vibes. The Shabbos meal was filled with song and dancing, followed by Farbrengens with the camps Rabbis, inspiring everyone to take on Hachlotos to further their connection to Judaism and the Rebbe.
At the end of the camps, the results are traditionally summed up and the most active and bright children and girls are awarded with valuable prizes and sincere congratulations from the organizers and participants of the camps.
Thus, during their stay in the camps, all participants acquired much new and applicable knowledge, expanded their horizons in the Torah commandments, made new friends, rested, received a lot of joy, pleasure and happiness.
Kids, teenagers and young adults from all three camps departed with a slight sense of sadness from the fact that the camp was over, but with the hope that very soon they will have the opportunity to meet again and spend another unforgettable time in the camps of STL and YEKA.
Awesomeness!!!!
