3 to Address Kinus Hashluchos

The organizing committe of the International Kinus Hashluchos, set to take place in Brooklyn, NY, on Shvat 19 to 24, 5773, have announced three names that will address the gala banquet.

Mrs. Chani Baron of Columbia, MD runs the Lubavitch Center of Jewish Education in Howard County, is an active adult educator, preschool director, mikvah manager and powerhouse Rebbetzin among other things. Mrs. Baron will address the theme of the Kinus on behalf of all of the Shluchos.

Mrs. Louise Hager of London, England met Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka as a young girl of fourteen, and developed a very close relationship with her over the years. She is the wife of the late Rabbi Efroyim Shaltiel (Freddy) Hager, a visionary businessman and community leader in the London area.

Mrs. Hager is a community activist in her own right, serving as the chairman of Chai Cancer Care, a UK based cancer support organization. Mrs. Hager will deliver the Guest Address at the Kinus Banquet.

Mrs. Chanchi Kaplan of Milan, Italy was raised as a third generation Shlucha in the boot-shaped country, and returned with her husband and family to continue spreading Yiddishkeit in the greater Milan area.

Mrs. Kaplan is a teacher at Scuole Ebraiche del Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, the local Lubavitch run day school which includes classes from Nursery through High School, and will chair the Banquet.
