1. Daven at the Rebbe’s House and room
The Rebbe and Rebbetzin’s home at 1304 President Street in Crown Heights and the Rebbe’s room at 770 Eastern Parkway will be open for davening for both men and women in honor of the 30th yartzeit.
Tuesday, 21 Shvat for Maariv at 6:45 pm
Wednesday, 22 Shvat for Shachris at 9:30 am and Mincha at 3:15 pm
These times are for both the Rebbe’s house and room. Women and girls will have access at the conclusion of davening.
2. Join a Farbrengen at the Ohel
Tonight a special program will be held by the Ohel marking the thirtieth Yartzeit-Hillulah of the Rebbetzin nishmoso eden organized by Vaad Ohr Vchom Hahiskashrus.
The program will begin with 6:45 with Maariv in the Rebbe’s Daled Amos, followed by a Shiur in a sicha related to Chof-Beis Shevat given by Rabbi Yisroel Shimon Kalmenson and a video of the Rebbe.
At 8:00, a Farbrengen will be held as per the Rebbe’s request at the end of the Shivah of the Rebbetzin that “It is customary to conduct a chassidishe farbrengen for the elevation of the neshama. It should be done in a beautiful manner and with many participants – as many as possible.”
The Farbrengen will be addressed by Rabbi Shais Taub, in house scholar of Chabad of the Five Town’s and Rabbi Yisroel Shmotkin, head shliach in Milwaukee and other Shluchim and Mashpi’im with the Farbrengen expected to go into the wee hours of the morning.
Busses from Crown Heights to the event will leave from outside the Jewish Children Museum at 5:45.
3. Learn the special sicha
On the 4th anniversary of the Rebbetzin’s yartzeit, the Rebbe delivered a special sicha about the importance of the day and what we can learn from the Rebbetzin. The Rebbe turned with a special message to the women and girls who have the special duty and privilege that Moshiach will come in their merit.
The entire sicha “Kuntres B’cha Yivarech Yisroel” has been translated for the first time and published for the English-speaking community.
