Wednesday evening 27th of Sivan – June 21st, a crowd of 2000 of the Argentine Jewish community, Chabad centers, leaders and dignitaries, gathered at La Rural Convention Center, for an evening of inspiration and connection and to pay tribute to the Rebbe and his living legacy.
The evening began with a cocktail reception and live music. It was arranged by the team of Tzach directed by Rabbi Levi and Etti Silberstein of Chabad Lubavitch Argentina with the help of many of the Batei Chabad and the Mekasher Office of Agudas Chassidei Chabad – Lubavitch.
Mr. Marcelo Belfer was MC for the evening.
The program included a video presentation of clips of the Rebbe by JEM.
The crowd enjoyed heartwarming nigunim sung by Anshil Eichbaum and his orchestra.
Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt, Head Shliach and Director of Chabad Lubavitch Argentina, inspired the crowd to strengthen their connection to the Rebbe by putting on Tefilin with 10 people as part of the Tefillin campaign commemorating 50 years of the Rebbe’s Tefillin campaign.
Every person had a chance to write a pan note, and take on a Hachlata for Gimmel Tammuz. The event was Broadcast live to many Spanish-speaking communities by Merkos suite 302.
A special video presentation, “The Tefillin Campaign,” produced by ORT Argentina, presented the stories of 3 businessmen who have made Mivtza Tefillin part of their routine by sharing the Mitzva with clients and acquaintances.
Guest speaker, Rabbi Shui Rosenblum, Shliach in Caracas, Venezuela, inspired the crowd on how to “Live vs. Survive” despite hardships that may occur by asking oneself, “Ayeka.”
