Two Israeli teens were shot as they walked near Meoras Hamachpela in Hebron on Friday night.
Emergency personnel report that a 16-year-old boy was seriously injured, suffering gunshot wounds to his upper body.
A second victim, an 18-year-old was wounded as well. He was shot in his legs.
Both victims were rushed to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
The sniper fire apparently came from the direction of Abu Sneina, which is the Palestinian neighborhood of Hebron.
IDF Forces were searching the area for the perpetrator.
As is every year, thousands of people are spending Shabbos Parshas Chayai Sara in Hebron. The IDF says they are bringing in additional reinforcements.
Later that evening a 20 year old soldier was shot and is in critical condition. I was there for shabbos, it was traumatizing for all of us but we united together and made it a meaningful and peaceful experience.
