Risk of HIB
July 23, 2020 7:06 pm

Disease Risk – Hib April 29, 2011 Risk to a child from Haemophilus influenzae b (Hib) if not vaccinated until the age of 5: Factors not considered: 1) The vaccine failure rate after immunization for Hib is rare at an estimated 2.2 per 100,000 vaccinees [1] and consequently is not considered in this analysis. 2) The question of overall invasive Hi disease risk changes when employing a mass vaccination strategy involving only a single serotype is one that has been debated and there is at least one study indicating a clear trend toward invasive disease through serotype replacement [2]. However,… Read more »

Meningitis strains
July 23, 2020 7:29 pm

There about 85 strains of meningitis and the vaccine protects from only 5 of those. How do we know that these babies had one of those 5?

Because they tested?

The article states the specific bacteria that the babies had. Generally, a hospital would test this to make a diagnosis.

Correction, the vaccine protects against 13 of the strains

That would be a news to CDC. According to them one vaccine protects against 4 strains and another, still unrecommended, 1 against additional strain.

Questions

At what age is the vaccine given?

According to CDC meningitis vaccine is given at 11 -12 years old.

in response to one of the comments here saying that there are 85 strains of meningitis and the vaccine protects only 13 of them.
So what about the other 72 strains that they are not protected of?
maybe those babies got one of these and the vaccine would not help anyways

These comments are showing a clear lack of scientific knowledge. It is not expected for the layperson to understand the complexities of immunology and microbiology, so let me break this down into simple terms. Before the vaccine was around, Haemophilus Influenza type B (HIB) was the most common cause of meningitis in children. After the vaccine came into use, Meningitis due to HIB was almost never seen again. Most medical students, residents, and newly minted physicians no longer see meningitis due to HIB because it is now so rare. However, when it is seen, it is exclusively in unvaccinated children.… Read more »

In 2017 in Eretz Yisroel a baby boy past away of meningitis after being vaccinated.

So what is in correct?

He said ALMOST NEVER SEEN AGAIN, not completely eradicated. And do we know what strain, etc.

Let's ask the hard questions.

As another scientist with a graduate degree, I want to mention that the “scientific knowledge” that you were taught weighs heavily on prescription pill pushing and vaccinations. Mainstream medical training nowadays – heavily funded by vaccine manufacturers such as Merck and GlaxoSmithKline – is not centered on supporting the long-term health of your patients. Medical students are not given a complete picture of the risks associated with broad-scale vaccination of vulnerable populations. The sheer number of vaccines that are given in 2020 is unprecedented. Add to that the overuse of antibiotics and our children are sitting ducks for Th2 polarized… Read more »

Babies are not vaccinated for Meningitis in US until they are in their teens. Why does Israel schedule this vaccine when they are infants? It is criminal.

Criminal?!

Even if it’s not necessary to do it in infancy, why on earth would you call it criminal? There is no reason NOT to. And the fact is that each country faces different challenges in diseases, and has to vaccinate differently according to the local conditions. These bacteria are more common in that area so it’s necessary to immunize babies; in the USA they’re less common, so the vaccine recommendation starts at about the age of 11, when the risk of infection becomes higher.

Because each medication including vaccines has side effects and negative consequences. Giving a vaccine that is designed for older children to babies is criminal.

I think you may be mistakenly confusing this with the meningococcal vaccine which protects against meningococcal disease. Meningococcal disease and can lead to bacterial meningitis and is routinely vaccinated for at sometime around the teen years in the US. I dont know about the schedule for it in Israel.
However, Haemophilus influenzae type b, commonly known as “Hib” is a vaccine that is routinely administered to babies in the US and seemingly also in Israel.

Hib vs meningococcus

Babies are vaccinated against Hib. Teens are vaccinated against meningococcus. Two different pathogens that cause meningitis.

How can you rely or health organizations? Here in NYC every newborn is obligated to get the hepatitis B vaccine… hey one second.. HEB b can only be transmitted through blood stream or from ways that a baby is not in risk of..like HIV.. hey one second.. every mom gets tested for hep b before giving birth..so there is no way for the newborn to have it if the mother is negative yet EVERY baby is forced to in NYC for NO REASON… last but not least: it contains 250 micrograms of aluminum and according to the CDC an ADULT… Read more »

No risk from aluminum

The aluminum contained in vaccines is similar to that found in a liter (about 1 quart or 32 fluid ounces) of infant formula. While infants receive about 4.4 milligrams* of aluminum in the first six months of life from vaccines, they receive more than that in their diet. Breast-fed infants ingest about 7 milligrams, formula-fed infants ingest about 38 milligrams, and infants who are fed soy formula ingest almost 117 milligrams of aluminum during the first six months of life. Your claim that “according to the CDC an ADULT can only have 50 micrograms” is not true. First of all… Read more »

according to the FDA :Not more than 25 micro grams per day but ok to get 250 micrograms into a 1-2 day newborn just because is injected into the muscle!!!!!
I hope you don’t make that test in your newborn I wouldn’t like to be your baby if so!!!!

Dear “No Risk”, Tell this to Tomljenovic and Shaw, whose peer-reviewed article appears in the medical journal, Current Medicinal Chemistry. They state the following: Aluminum is an experimentally demonstrated neurotoxin and the most commonly used vaccine adjuvant. Despite almost 90 years of widespread use of aluminum adjuvants, medical science’s understanding about their mechanisms of action is still remarkably poor. There is also a concerning scarcity of data on toxicology and pharmacokinetics of these compounds. In spite of this, the notion that aluminum in vaccines is safe appears to be widely accepted. Experimental research, however, clearly shows that aluminum adjuvants have… Read more »

The points is the same, doesn’t matter if FDA or CDC the point is Aluminum is dangerous. Especially for you 1 day baby..And don’t fid excuses saying since they get aluminum from other sources it’s ok to inject it in your baby. The numbers are also incredibly different 117 micrograms within the first six months from soy( don’t know if true) and you say that’s why is okay to give double to a 1 day baby. Do you think the aluminum stats in the muscle and doesn’t get to the blood stream?? Also if the baby already gets aluminum from… Read more »

So now we have it. The Truth. What the many VOICES on the web don’t want you to see…

Thank you COL for sharing the FACTS: Vaccines SAVE lives. Not giving them, when we can, is against halacha and what our Rebbe taught us.

The rebbe’s opinion was Never to give so many shots, back then people got 5 shots not 72 doses!!!
Your babies got more shots then you by now!!!

Those days six or seven vaccines were given. These are very different times, and it’s only getting worse. Your beloved “health” department will soon want you and your children to get multiple COVID vaccines each year.

We cannot continue to quote our Rebbe regarding new vaccine schedules and new governmental demands that were unheard of even five years ago!!!!!!!!
