Chamah – Keren Menachem just concluded a fabulous one week vacation in Dubai for 100 widows from Israel and Europe as part of their “Heart to Heart” project which provides financial and other support to widows and their families throughout the year, especially before the Yomim Tovim.
The women were treated to an all-expenses-paid trip with gourmet meals, luxurious accommodations, and tours to major tourist attractions, such as the famous gold market and the world’s tallest tower.
Rabbi Hillel Zaltsman from Chamah International, told COLlive, “This program was a unique opportunity for the women to spend time socializing with others in similar circumstances, while having a chance to rest, relax, and rejuvenate in luxurious surroundings.”
Notable honored guests participated and supported the program, including philanthropist Rabbi and Mrs. Y.Y. Gutnick and former Israel Diaspora Affairs Minister Ms. Omer Yankelovich. The guests were welcomed by Mr. Solly Wolf, president of the Jewish community in Dubai and Chief Rabbi of Dubai Rabbi Levi Duchman.
Famed international entertainers were flown in especially for this program, including special entertainment and musical performances by Rivka Krinsky and Eda Schottenstein from the USA, who performed on a private cruise in Dubai’s marina.
The trip was facilitated by Rabbi Berri Spiteski of Keren Menachem and Rabbi Shneur Z Haddad, Shliach in Rockland, NY, and by the local Chabad shluchim, who were exceptionally welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure a beautiful and successful program, Rabbi Levi Duchman, along with Dubai shluchim Rabbi Mendy and Chani Blau. Trip arrangements by R’ Efraim Kamisar of Kamisar Tours and trip producer Mrs. Yudit Cohen.
