Unidentified Dutch youth interrupted an annual memorial service of the former children concentration camp Vucht in Holland.
State officials and members of the Jewish community gathered to commemorate the last children transport to Poland, but the event was different than previous years.
As Rabbi Binyomin Jacobs, Chief Rabbi of the Inter-Provincial Chief Rabbinate (IPOR), was speaking, motorcycle riders driving by yelled “Heil Hitler.”
After pausing for a few moments, Rabbi Jacobs, who is also a Chabad Shliach in Amersfoort, continued his speech which was followed by two minutes of silence.
In attendance were prominent Dutch officials including Gerdi Verbeet, President of the Dutch House of representatives; Rabbi Menachem Sebbag, Chief Chaplain of the Dutch army, Franklin de Liever, secretary general of IPOR and others.
Dutch Police are investigating the incident and are hoping to be able to make an arrest soon, the local press reported.
“The youth didn’t look like they were of Arabic origin, they looked Dutch,” Rabbi Jacobs said.
This was the latest in a recent chain of anti-Semitic incidents.
Just last week the doors of the 280 year-old Synagogue in Amersfoort was smeared with red paint.
Amersfoort Mayor Albertina Van Vliet expressed her shock and concern, but no arrests have been made to date.
Your country is finally confronting the ugly truth and they are doing it in the wrong way. Resistance fighters were far outnumbered by collaborators.
Ad Mosie is our cry do you see the writing on the wall
That’s insulting, specially taking into account that many dutch resistance fighters died in Camp Vught, either executed by the SS or as a result of the barbaric treatment they received. My uncle was among them.

do you just post these things because this is your way of feeling like your opinion is getting out there? do you really think that you are going to change people’s opinion by telling them that they’re wrong? i suggest you join your local debate club. but dont stop posting comments. its my daily dose of laughter.
Make sure never to fly KLM, because when the volcano erupts, you might get stuck in Amalek-land…
The Dutch were mostly collaborators during the war. They pretended to be pro-Jewish, yet 80% of the Dutch Jewish population were killed. Today there is much anti-Israel sentiment in miserable Holland, which I will not visit as during the war they were truly Amalek, attacking from behind.
i cant believe what im hearing, its not a goy is a goy and a yid is a yid, its a human being is a human being, hashem created ALL of us in his image, not just the jews. There is so much senseless hatred towards non jews, its awful, the rebbe loved every human being and that was truly an amazing thing that we should all try to follow.
