dancing at a wedding is supposed to be for simchas chosson ve’kalleh. not just for fun, because there is a party.

Surprised

being a bochur, when i saw the title i thought that this article was an “april fools” in december? This is unheard of. That bochurim, in kevutzah, supposed to be spending a year with the rebbe, can take time out of their day to dance, and drink for no purpose, and with no toi’eles. I highly doubt that any of those bochurim, dancing as seen in the pictures like grob yakken, have any shaichus.

No a "mock" wedding, a "remote" wedding

were the siblings of each of these bochurim getting married to each other? i.e – was it the same wedding that both missed?

November 25, 2009 10:10 am

I think i use these boys in the band for any simchas (IYH) i make, i thought the clipping was nearly as long as a chasnah!!

nice
November 25, 2009 9:47 am

Its really nice that they did that for their friends, a lesson to be learned, however the dude with the sandals and suspenders is by far the coolest!!!

Maybe they didn’t go because they couldn’t afford it, and they didnt’ want to walk around shnorring money like so many others, and then you can complain about the tzfasim laydegayer shnorrers.
Kol Hakovod to both of them and their friends for making the day special to them.

Sooo funny!
November 25, 2009 8:12 am

Love it! Enjoying and celbrating the simcha from thousands of miles away! Awesome! 🙂

they are good buchrim
November 25, 2009 7:27 am

They didnt go because when you make a comitment to learn for a year you keep to that, showing the importance of learning

Why?
November 25, 2009 7:25 am

Why couldn’t they go to the weddings? This was a nice thing to do. not the same, but thoughtful.

So Nice!
