Over a hundred kids swung from ropes, tumbled down ramps, and bounded through the obstacle course at the grand re-opening party of Gymies on President Street in Crown Heights on Sunday.
Meanwhile, their parents got a sneak peek at the newly added dance studio.
The gymnastics studio geared especially to children opened its doors last December by Sarah Benarosh, originally of Los Angeles. “Being given the chance to discover talents at a young age gave me a tremendous amount of self-confidence, as well as an outlet for all the energy that I wasn’t releasing in school,” she says. “As an adult, after moving to Crown Heights, I immediately recognized the need in the community.”
Since Gymies opened last year, many children have enjoyed a new-found sense of self confidence, body image and fun.
This year, due to popular demand, Gymies has added a variety of classes such as ballet, Martial Arts, Yoga, Aerobics, Mommy & Me and teen classes – serving ages 6 months – adult.
A second Grand Reopening Party will be held on September 13th, from 10am – 6pm at 1447 President Street.

sara chanie, we’re so proud and happy for you! Hatzlacha Rabba!
GYMIES specifically keeps the groups small so each kid can get individualized attention – and the rooms are a lot bigger than they appear in the photos.
it’s not crowded
because there are differnet groups at different times.
It is Osur according to Halacha the Rebbe said a Sicha against Yoga.
This is a great outlet for children to shine in a non school setting where they are having fun in a healthy way! You should have lots and lots of success!
You are awesome and an inspiration.
Love,
your fans
looks like a happening place!!!!
looks amazing. But is it to crowded for a big group? You need a huge room for all the groups that would want to come.
Go Shaya Go Mordechai
Can’t wait to check it out!
