Camp Gan Israel in the Poconos is excited to announce their head staff for the upcoming summer 5778.
Under the direction of longtime founders, Gershon and Devorah Sandler, Dini Druk will be joining as the new Assistant Director. A shlucha and educator with years of experience working with elementary age children, Dini Druk has successfully led camps, schools, and educational endeavors around the world.
Joining them will be returning staff Chanie Gajer and Sarah Stock from Brooklyn, NY and Trumbull, CT as Head Counselors.
CGI Poconos is entering its 7th summer of catering to Chabad House girls ages 7 to 15, recruited by Shluchim from around the world. The girls join together to explore their Jewish roots and form a sisterhood that lasts a lifetime.
Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, CGI Poconos offers a perfect blend of fun and meaning. An action-packed summer enhanced by an enriching experience of Yiddishkeit and Chassidus.
Each day blends another mitzvah into an exciting schedule of activities such as baking, sewing, arts & crafts, zumba and drama. Zip lining, rock climbing, kayaking and an olympic size pool are all located on campgrounds. A grand NYC getaway adventure including a stop at the Ohel, 770 and Times Square leaves girls on a high.
Many campers experience their first authentic Shabbos in the Poconos. An inspiring candle lighting ceremony followed by uplifting meals of singing and dancing create an indescribable joy that permeates every moment of the weekend.
The dedicated and caring staff create a warm family of friends so that every camper feels that she belongs.
