50 Chabad bochurim recently completed a two week summer program of fun, learning, trips, and activities in the Tucumanian Mountains in West-Argentina.
The program, featuring a special Yeshiva-style learning program, followed by an afternoon of sports and trips, gave the South-American bochrim a great opportunity to spend their vacation in a chasidishe environment.
Many Talmidim improved in their davening, and all achieved personal goals in learning. The Yeshivas-Kaitz staff put together a special Kovetz of סוגיות on the Rebbe’s Torah on which the Magidei shiurim gave Shiurim. The bochurim learned formally in a yeshiva style zal as well informally under the open sunny sky.
The Chassidishe Farbrengens held throughout these weeks had a visible impact, with Talmidim taking upon themselves various practical hachlatos to improve in their yiddishkeit and chassidishkeit.
The trips and activities, which included climbing and reaching the mountain tops, paintball games, swimming in the pool and horseback riding, were used for building deep connections between Bochrim, Shluchim and the Hanhola.
The Program- a cooperation of the Hanhola and the Talmidim HaShluchim of the Buenos Aires Yeshiva and Mesivte- was hosted by Chabad of Tucuman, which took care of all the material needs and arranged an amazing Hotel and delicious meals.
On the last day, the Governor of Tucuman, Mr. Juan Manzur, who is a big supporter of Chabad and helped make this Yeshivas-Kaitz possible, came to visit the bochurim.
The success of the program would not have been possible without the dedicated support of the Head Shliach Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt, the Shluchim of Tucuman Rabbi Daniel Levy and family, the Hanhola of the Yeshiva R’ Levi Liberow and of the Mesivta R’ Mendy Naki and the Menahel Gashmi R’ Shmuel Levy.
A big appreciation goes to the directors of the Yeshivas Kaitz: R’ Mendi Levy, R’ Shloimi Setton and HaTomim HaShliach Hilel Raskin, the Magidei Shiurim and Mashpiim Rabbi Shmuel Schtroks and Rabbi Eli Raichik.
