I didn’t know that the Rebbe had asked for Prayer.
It makes so much sense.

Before the Rebbe agreed to a moment of silence, the Rebbe strongly advocated prayer in the schools. He spoke Sichos about this, even recommending a Constitutional Amendment for it. The Rebbe quoted that the Constitution was written, “for the people and by the people.”

Children Need More Siblings

The Rebbe encouraged families to welcome multiple children. Rabbi Jacobson mentions “the loner”. I wonder if children growing up with siblings have a less tendency to be loners. Rabbi Jacobson mentions responsibility. It is likely that a child with siblings will grow up with responsibilities from early childhood. It goes without saying that taking G-d out of the schools has had a negative impact, and the Rebbe’s plea for a campaign for Moment of Silence echos in an empty space left to be filled. Yesterday, bais adar was the yahrzeit of Mrs. Pesha Leah Lapine HYD; this is what the Rebbe said after her shiva:
“As for G-d holding ‘precious’ the self-sacrifice of a Jew, it’s enough that Jews are in exile over 1900 years! May G-d spare us from all further sacrifices, and immediately send the Redemption, and the Resurrection, at which time she and her children will be joyfully reunited.:”
