To the Yess Family

We cannot imagine the loss you feel and the void in your hearts on the passing of such a wonderfully loving and giving person, your mom. Please know that we in the community are eternally grateful to her and to her beautiful children for the gift that she has given our children who have already given it to their children. Your moms impact is eternal, not only in your family, but also in the Beth Rivkah family and in the world wide Chabad family by extension. This was evident at the Levaya where the esteemed principal Rabbi Minkowitz expressed our… Read more »

When I first began teaching preschool, I spent a lot of time searching on the e-chinuch site. I remember seeing the name Sharon Yess often, and being so grateful that she was not only willing to share her creative ideas, but also took the time to post them online for other teachers to see. May Hashem comfort her family.

So very sorry to hear

She was (and is) such an amazing person in every way. Just did a special mishebeirach for her this Shabbos, even though had heard there was no natural way. She is on a highest of heights now.

This is too much

Baruch Dayan Ha’Emes – בד״ה My mother just passed away peacefully in her sleep with her children at her side singing tehillim followed by the song of Eyshes Chayil in four part harmony. She took her last breath right after the last verse of Eyshes Chayil. The timing seems quite appropriate for such a perfect woman. Mom, Morah Sharon, Bubby, we will all miss you so much. You were the type of person that we all strive to be. You brought so much light into this world by teaching generations of students in the way of Torah and Mitzvos and… Read more »

Aishes Chayil
February 13, 2018 2:15 pm

The years I lived in Montreal, Sharon was married to singer/entertainer Moshe Yess. Eventually they did go their separate ways, but the years I knew them, she was an amazing Aishes Chayil. I would venture to say that Moshe’s most creative and productive years were his years with Sharon.

Morah Sharon has impacted the lives of all her students in amazing ways. My daughter one of them:) She has helped many others in so many ways.. about 20 years ago I was going on Shlichus to Home school children. It was to be my first time teaching and I felt lost. I needed advice, ideas from an experienced teacher. I went to Morah sharon who helped me for hours on her own time after school (as teaching never ended for her!) she selflessly gave me tons of advice reassurance & loads of material as if I were her on… Read more »

I was in Montreal sem over twenty years ago.
I was sent to Mrs Yess’s class to observe her teaching methods and will always remember that I felt privileged then and will always be grateful, to date, because she was a true example of what a teacher should be.
May Hasehm comfort her family.

I'm so sad

Morah Sharon was a true teacher. She cared and LIVED her teaching. She was 1000% percent dedicated and invested. As others commented, she went above and beyond. Was always thinking of her students and was so creative. What a special and wonderful woman. To her children, your mother will always be with you and will be watching out for you. You taught most of my daughter’s. What an amazing teacher. You were strict when you needed to be and yet sooooo loving. You taught the girls things that no one else did. You gave the children winter gear of they didn’t have, Purim costumes to those that didn’t bring. We saw you shlepping food and Treats for others.
What a loss to Bais Rivka and to the community
Please, storm the heavens and DEMAND from Hashem that it’s enough. We want and need Moshiach NOW.

Morah Sharon taught me almost twenty years ago. I remember her passion for nature and science. Whenever we would go outside, she would always encourage us to collect bugs, worms, leaves, and anything else. At some point we kept caterpillars until they turned to butterflies. I also specifically remember a lesson she gave using water and beads. I have so many other memories of her from seeing her around school and the neighborhood. Morah Sharon- we were blessed to have you. To the family- your mother was an incredibly strong lady. May you find her strength within yourselves, and may… Read more »

The incredible Mora Sharon will be sorely missed. Her selflessness, dedication and love are unsurpassed. Our daughters have learned so many life lessons by being in her class. Her out of the box approach to teaching is what makes good teachers great! I look at my daughter who was in her class this year and cannot hold back tears.
