Principals and Deans from Lubavitch schools throughout North America are about to present a fascinating new “first-of-its-kind” curriculum into their schools in preparation for the upcoming 30th Anniversary of 22 Shevat – the Yahrtzeit of our dear Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, of righteous memory.
The curriculum was created under the guidance of Rabbi Elkanah Shmotkin at JEM, in coordination with Vaad Or v’Chom Hahiskashrus, and is focused on conveying a comprehensive representation of the Rebbetzin’s life and the righteous example that she set for Chassidim to follow.
In the period after the Rebbetzin’s histalkus it became clear from the Rebbe’s words to us at that time, how central a place the Rebbetzin held in the Rebbe’s nesius and in his leadership of the movement. In addition, there is an abundance of meaningful directives that the Rebbe requested Chassidim engage in to perpetuate her memory, which is of course very relevant to our generation. This rich heritage belongs to every Chosid, and is precisely what the curriculum hopes to convey.
Over 100 schools across the globe will be participating in this initiative, which is sure to engage thousands of Lubavitcher children in a meaningful experience of Hiskashrus to the Rebbe and Rebbetzin.
The curriculum was inspired and organized by a number of principals and educators who held a conference call together with Rabbi Yisroel Spalter of Vaad Or v’Chom Hahiskashrus, in order to ascertain the most effective ways of conveying these messages to the children through the curriculum:
Rabbis Hershel Lustig – Oholei Torah
Rabbi Yonah Shur – Cheder Chabad in Toronto
Rabbi Benjy Korf – LEC Miami
Rabbi Yitzchok Wolf – Cheder Lubavitrch Chicago
Rabbi Yosef Minkowitz – Bais Rivkah Montreal
Rabbi Mendel Greenbaum – Cheder Lubavitch of LA
Rabbi Avrohom Wolowik – Cheder Lubavich of Baltimore

This is so important! Thank you to the organizers of this!
Is what the Rebbe founded right on the day of the Rebbetzin’s levaye. We should give in numbers of 470 (gemtaria of her name), as the Rebbe requested.
This is for all Chasidim. Not just the boys and girls in our schools.
