Mothers and daughters of Bais Rebbe Junior High in Los Angeles, CA< joined together yesterday to honor Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson and the three unique women’s mitzvos.
Under the direction of Mrs. Chaya Schapiro, the eighth graders choreographed and directed the 6th and 7th graders in song and dance.
The heartwarming and inspiring lyrics were written by Schapiro and Mrs. Zeldie Cunin. Mrs. Shaina Dorn, the art teacher, guided the girls in painting beautiful backdrop with the name “Chana” written through beautiful paintings of challah, a stream of water for Mikvah, and candles.
After the performance, the girls and mothers learned a sicha about the women’s role in her home and the power of her emunah. The Mothers and daughters answered questions on the sicha and took hachlatos upon themselves for a chance to win a sushi lunch date! Mazal tov to the winners, Mrs. Daniella Gordon and her daughter Perel.
Some of the popular hachlatos were to bake challah together, to give away an article of clothing which is no longer tznuisdik and to dance together celebrating the imminent Geula.
After the learning, the mothers and daughters decorated tambourines to display our strong emunah and bitachon. Another highlight of the event was an exciting auction organized by the 8th grade and their yearbook teacher Mrs. Mushka Teleshevsky. The crowd was surprised at the incredible types and amount of prizes!
May the words of the girls singing come true as the light of the mitzvos permeate our world bring Moshiach Now!
