A person was arrested this week after shoplifting from a supermarket in Crown Heights.
On Sunday night, January 14, a Shmira member shopping in The Market Place located at East NY Ave and Kingston Ave, observed a male remove items off a shelf, place it into his pocket, and then exit the store.
He immediately requested additional members to assist him in locating the suspect as well as calling 911.
The suspect was soon spotted and he began to flee. After a brief pursuit, he was apprehended by police and was placed under arrest.
In case of an emergency, call Shmira 24/7 at 718-221-0303 and 911.

Number 1 likes to get robbed once in a while.
Number 2 forgot to post his address where hungry people can come and pickup free food.
Where’s your appreciation for these organizations???? when the police don’t come you complain, and when shmira comes and gets them arrested you complain.
Get a life.
You obviously do not know how it works here in New York city. it starts off with these animals shoplifting from a store and getting away with it. I don’t know where you are from but you definitely do not sound like you are from New York City, get with the program and stop putting down these wonderful organizations. Until you need them you’ll be saying… Read more »
