Michoel and Sars Behrman were friends that I valued although from a distance – living in shlichus in SF. When I needed advice Michoel was there for me in a difficult time.
I’m personally very moved that I will’see them’ when I come back to Crown Heights on the street named in their memory
It’s tough being a nistor these days…….

My heart is broken. May the family and all Bnei Israel find comfort. BDHE.
Michoel was a man who experienced the world and appreciated chassidishe and was a true shliach helping others!!!
Only good news for the family!
Michoel fought a great battle valiantly. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather. No words can encompass the loss we feel. He was a dear friend. May the whole family be comforted.
May the children and family be comforted!
Such a loss. He will be sorely missed as Sarah
has been.
We are blessed to be long time neighbors of the Behrman family . We shared many happy times and now sad times .
We will greatly miss Michoil, his kindness, his wonderful sense of humor , his service to our community ,and most of all his huge heart filled with love for his family and extending to his friends and all lucky enough to know him. Just as he cared for us in this world , I am certain he will intervene for us in the next world . May his family be comforted from this great loss

So sorry Yaacov. You were an amazingly devoted son to your dad. And to your mom. May you and your siblings find comfort in their memory, and may you be blessed with goodness and joy.
Yes unique combination of attributes..across the board…my/our Dear friend Michoel was a force of nature… ahead of his time in so many areas…a trailblazer, talented, facile of tongue, genius of humor, sincere courageous Communicator with and about people and politics and “religion” with an unadulterated honest pure Torah heart. It was always an honor to be accepted as part of his special family & huge family of friends. Michoel will always be one of the fond Patriarchs of our BT history…to me personally CH will never be the same without him 🙁 Baruch Dayan Ha Emes
BDE Michoel and Sarah treated me like one of their daughters, They invited me to their home and always made me feel part of their family. I only have the most amazing memories of them. I am so sad today. we need moshiach already.. no more suffering. Devorah
I knew he hadn’t been well for a long time, but I am so upset to read this. Michael & I worked in adjacent offices at NCFJE & he was so committed to the work he did, never letting up, never letting go. His sense of humor brightened up the tough times. He made such a difference to so many people: he will be very much missed. Baruch Dayan HaEmet.

Michoel combined intelligence, compassion, honor, love of life and chassidus. One of the most approachable people I have ever had the privilege to know. He will be sorely missed. May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
Reb Michael was a hero tackling crises nobody was talking about 25 years ago. He’s going to a better world knowing his family is continuing his holy work. We need Moshiach now.
He helped so many families with addiction with Ncfje before everyone realized how bad addiction really was!
Yaakov so sorry for your loss! I remember your dad when I was growing up. May his neshama have an aliya
