Mrs. Dena Schusterman, co-founder of Chabad Intown in Atlanta, the Intown Jewish Preschool and the Intown Hebrew School, was a guest speaker on ELI Talks, a public stage for impactful ideas.
The title of her talk was “I Will Carry You With My Stories,” in which she shared some of the wisdom of Chassidic stories and how they can sustain us in good times and in bad.
Schusterman drew on the stories he heard from her father, Rabbi Chaim Drizin, MA, LMFT, a licensed marriage and family therapist living in Aventura, Florida. He served as a Shliach in San Fransisco and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Schusterman teaches women’s classes and is dedicated to teaching students of all ages in the Atlanta Jewish community and beyond through her published articles. She says that she continues the storytelling tradition with her 8 children.
The speech was filmed at the William Breman Jewish Heritage and Holocaust Museum in Atlanta, Georgia in cooperation with the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.

Beautiful idea. Beautiful delivery. Beautiful Shlucha. Your community is lucky to have you. May you continue to inspire, teach, and uplift all those around you. Wishing you hatzlacha and kol tuv.
She managed to get my attention for quite some time… Far better (and interesting) than many of my mashpiim in yeshiva…
Thanks for the stories!
Excellent content, true to the Chabad spirit, incredible delivery, profound and simple at the same time
Proud of Shlucha to give a talk with such ease, charm and warmth
Hatzlocho in your shlichus and with your family
From another Shlucha
Stories are great and important, the only point that comes to mind especially for youngsters is not to overdo and stress the suffering of good people, in order not to instill fear or Ch”V associate pain with Yiddishkeit. I’m sure Mrs. Shusterman would agree, it has to be age appropriate
Super,very meaningful
Thanks for well explaining the difference between pain and suffering.
Quiet but passionate, outspoken yet tznius, stands up for what’s right – if only she did speaking tours..,
Dina that was beautiful
Bravo
Yoske and I were enthralled by your presentation
Our compliments to you and may you continue to go from strength to strength and Story to Story happily.
Always.
Good job!
This is truly amazing!
Thanks for sharing!
“I’ll carry you with my stories” is such a beautiful and meaningful way to answer a child. It is no wonder his daughter grew up with such an appreciation for the power of a story.
Beautiful talk. So éloquently spoken.
