Participants of the International Kinus HaShluchim received a sample of a new musical project titled “The Nigunim.”
The nigunim presented on this album are the nigunim ordered by the Rebbe to be sung at the special occasions during farbrengens in 770.
Project initiator R’ Moshe Dov Ayashe says the idea came up while visiting at various Chabad centers in venues at far-flung corners of the earth.
“It became obvious when singing the Seder Nigunim of our Rebbeim, that there is a lack of clarity among many regarding the correct order and nigun of each of the Rebbeim,” he says.
“I wondered how I could convey the emotive feelings of yearning and longing that the Seder Nigunim brings forth. How could I make the proper order and background of each nigun of the Seder Nigunim accessible to all, internalizing and integrating this sublime Seder, which is also sung in shuls of Anash at the Seudas Moshiach and the conclusion of the Shovuos holiday?”
The album was produced and directed by Levik T. and arranged by Moshe Laufer, master musical arranger, who rewrote superb arrangements for these holy nigunim, while preserving the authentic Chassidic flame.
Renown Chassidic musicians featured on the new album Avraham Fried, Yoni Shlomo, Simcha Friedman, Eli Marcus, Berel Zucker, Shmil and the Yedidim Choir and Shir V’Shevach Boys Choir.
R’ Sheya Segal of Kehot Publishing House directed and guided the vocalists throughout the entire recording process, assisted by Shimmy Segal, Simcha Friedman and Mordechai Brodsky.
The album is slated for release on Chanuakh.

They sang it wrong. Unfortunately, a major mistake has slipped into the way everyone sings the 3rd section…
And more is needed! Everyone else records our niggunim in their CDs, would love to see more of our own!
