For many years Rosh Chodesh Kislev has been known in Chabad communities the world over as a particularly jubilant Yomtov marked with joyous Chassidic Farbrengen’s and Seudos Hodoah gatherings, offering our thanks to Hashem for the Rebbe’s recovery.
Throughout the years the Rebbe gave many blessings and positive responses to such gatherings and every year on the Shabbos before Rosh Chodesh Kislev would give a bottle of Mashkeh to be used at the Central Rosh Chodesh Kislev Farbrengen which was held in New York.
In New York the following big Farbrengens will take place:
As there is every year, there will be a big farbrengen in 770, with the participation of many shluchim, including Rabbis Berel Lazar, Moscow, Russia, Yosef Chaim Kantor, Bangkok, Thailand, and Boruch Hertz, Chicago. The farbrengens are organized by the Moscowitz brothers, Shluchim of the Rebbe throughout Illinois, in memory of their father Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz a”h, who would lead the farbrengen for many years.
This year in honor of the 40th anniversary there will be a Farbrengen at the Ohel, led by Rabbi Meir Harlig, and will be addressed by Rabbis Yossi Groner, Charlotte, NC, Shmuel Greisman, Yerushalayim, and Tzvi Grunblatt, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Following the formal Seudas Hoda’ah, there will be Farbrengens in Yiddish, English, and Hebrew, with Rabbis Shloime Zarchi, Yisroel Deren, Yoske Gopin, Yossi Groner, and Tzvi Grunblatt. In expectancy of the large crowds expected by the Ohel over the next few days a fourth tent has been constructed which will be used during the Farbrengen ensuring ample space.
In addition, many other farbrengens and events will take place throughout Crown Heights.
The organizers of the event have informed COLlive that just hours from the opening of regist7ion for the buses to the Farbrengen, hundreds of Shluchim and Anash have already signed up online (link below).
It is therefore very important to sign up for these buses, so that there will be enough space for everyone who wants to join.
