A post-Yomtov Kinus Torah has taken place at the Rebbe’s Ohel with participation of Tishrei guests and Bochurim.
As per the Rebbe’s directives that events of Torah study take place after each Yomtov, bochurim and guests studying at the Rebbe’s Ohel during Tishrei and throughout the year participated in a Kinus Torah with several speakers discussing topics in Nigleh and Chasidus.
The Kinus was opened with a sicha of the Rebbe, who would participate in the thrice-yearly Kinusei-Torah, after Pesach, Shavuos, and Simchas Torah, by reciting an inyan or two in Nigleh during the Yomtov farbrengen, which would than be repeated and discussed at the actual event on the following day by the participants. In this case, participants discussed the sicha of Simchas Torah 5746, in which the Rebbe discussed the prohibition for Levi’im to own land in Eretz Yisroel and how that prohibition will apply when Moshiach comes.
Following this, bochurim delivered thoughts and explanations on various topics in Gemara, Likutei Sichos, and Chasidus, including representatives from the yeshivos in Argentina, Detroit, Brunoy, and England.
Among the speakers was Rabbi Sholom Dovber Levine, chief librarian of the Rebbe’s Library – Agudas Chasidei Chabad, who discussed the reason why residents of of Chutz La’aretz begin reciting the prayer V’sein Tal U’matar at a different time than those who live in Eretz Yisroel, and what one should do if they travel from one place to the other during that gap of time.
The Kinus concluded with a prayer that we will very soon merit to see the Rebbe physically and hear from him “Torah Chadasha.”
