The Horen family of Bnei Brak had been living in a 50-square-meter apartment with 11 children when it became very clear that there was simply not enough room to live a healthy life.
Enduring devastating financial struggles, Mr. Avraham Horen made the decision to move his family into a slightly larger apartment.
Little did the Horens know, they would have very little time to settle in before losing all of their mortal possessions. A shocking two weeks after moving into their new home, an explosion due to a faulty appliance set the apartment ablaze.
Overnight, 11 children became homeless.
No neighbors or family members have had the space to accommodate the family as a whole, so the siblings have been split among multiple residences until they have the opportunity to return home.
Having lost everything they owned, the blow to their dignity is perhaps more severe: forced to borrow the most simple clothing items, to sleep in guest rooms and eat from others’ groceries, the Horen children want, most simply, to go home.
Donations are being raised in hopes of making their dream come true.
