Bochurim were seen joyously singing and dancing on Thursday night at Yeshivas Lubavitch in Cincinnati, Ohio, and they had a good reason for it.
After months of saying Tehillim for the recovery of their Mashpia, the news arrived that Rabbi Zalman Baras has survived the cancer illness he was diagnosed with last Pesach.
Rabbi Baras, originally from Crown Heights in Brooklyn, moved to Cincinnati to dedicate his life to the education of yeshiva bochurim. He is a father of 6 children.
The doctors have been treating him and were very optimistic that there should be a complete recovery. Meanwhile, the Yeshiva continued to keep its commitments to Rabbi Baras and his family, as well as provide extra support during the recovery process.
This week, “the doctors informed him that Baruch Hashem all is clear,” said the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Gershon Avtzon. He called it “a miraculous recovery.”
Hearing the good news, bochurim broke out into dance.
