Dear friends,
So often, our Rebbe shares with us the powerful teaching that in the presence of darkness, the light of a single candle can be seen far and wide.
Enter the life of Rabbi Tsion Goldstein A”H…or simply “Tsion” as most would call him.
Tsion was a candle – a ray of light to so many individuals along his life’s journey.

He LIVED the life a chossid — often times giving away the last few dollars he had just to help another Yid in distress….”What are you doing!?” others would ask, “YOU NEED THAT MONEY FOR YOUR FAMILY.”
“Hashem will help,” he’d always say……That was Tsion!
And for many years, before the dreaded illness came upon him R”L, Rabbi Goldstein would provide for his family by working night and day through endless shifts as a taxi driver…Shabbos with his family was EVERYTHING!
My dear friends, these last ten years came in like bitter-cold winds for Tsion, his wife and children.
During this battle, R’ Tsion suffered in constant unimaginable pain R”L. But it was HIS pain, and he never felt comfortable when family members needed to take off from work to bring him back and forth from his treatment.
And when he no longer held enough strength to drive a taxi, the heavy weight of parnassah, and caring for their three children ages 1, 3, and 6 — fell on the shoulders of Tsion’s brave wife — his Eishes Chayil who raised the family and cared for her husband at the same time; all while figuring out the cost of living, bills etc.
After fighting to stay alive for 10 years — all so he can care for his family, the light of Rabbi Tsion Goldstein had been removed from our presence.
My friends, it is dark, it is bitter, the children are confused and scared as they take their first steps in a world without their father….We are in true golus! Tzion’s wife watches her three children mourn by her side — and now wonders “מֵאַיִן יָבֹא עֶזְרִי”.
Every month: rent, tuition, weekly grocery shopping, electricity, gas, heat…
From where can she find money for her two teenage girls….they’ll need clothes, shoes, and money — just like every other growing teenage girl.
Her son almost reaching Barmitzvah…..How will I buy him beautiful tefillin, or pay for the suit, the hat, the hall.
They’ll grow up and need to get married one day…
“Who will help me get through the years ahead…WHO WILL HELP ME IF NOT TZION?”
This mother and her three children BELONG TO THE LUBAVITCHER REBBE!
And because “חסידים אין משפחה”, who else do they have but us to turn to for help?
Please give generously today at charidy.com/family so that these kinderlach and their mother can begin to visualize a bright tomorrow — FILLED WITH POSSIBILITY!
In Zchus of your giving, may YOU and YOUR family have ALL YOUR NEEDS PROVIDED FOR BY THE AIBISHTER — ABUNDANTLY! And may the long-awaited Geulah be ushered in ONCE AND FOR ALL NOW — BECAUSE YOU FILLED THE DARKNESS OF GOLUS WITH LIGHT!

I am so very sad to hear about this. He was such a kind and special person. Always with a smile. The world has lost a great man. Condolences to the family.
DL is a true Eishes Chayil and an amazing person. Despite their painful predicament, DL’s face is always lit with a smile and shining with light. Would love to help as much as possible and encourage others to do the same.

I did not know him personally but during the few times that I used his livery service to the airport it was quickly evident that this man was a pure soul. He had a smile on his face throughout the ride and did whatever he could to accomodate our needs. Frankly I am shocked very to hear of his medical suffering and his untimely passing. The least I can do is contribute towards the support of his young children. May Hashem give his wife the strength she will now need to carry on and give the children a semblance of… Read more »
