Over 350 Lubavitch educators will be joining together this week in Crown Heights for the 2nd annual Kinus Mechanchei Chabad, dual conferences for male and female Lubavitchers in the field of education.
Organized by the Menachem Education Foundation (MEF), the men’s program runs from Gimmel Tammuz through Hey Tammuz (June 27-29), and the women’s program is Daled and Hey Tammuz (June 28-29).
Highlights for both include Rabbi Simon Jacobson, Rabbi Shais Taub, Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum, Rabbi Yossi Paltiel and Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum.
Topics covered will range from technology in the classroom to teaching Chumash and Gemara, and from talking about Tznius to showing students you care.
In addition, the men’s program will be hearing from Rabbi Shimon Raichik, Rabbi Mendy Shapiro, and others as they launch the program on Gimmel Tammuz with learning of the Rebbe’s Torah on Chinuch.
Women will enjoy workshops by Mrs. Shana Teichtel, Mrs. Sara Rosenfeld EdD, and other mechanchos, as well as hearing from Mrs. Malka Touger at a special dinner reception.
An exclusive track for preschool teachers – including sessions such as Intentional Play and Teaching Kriah – will also be offered for the very first time, on Wednesday of the convention.

A highlight of both programs will be the presentation of the Chinuch Awards for Caring and Connection, which had the community nominating teachers and following the process of choosing finalists and winners for the past several months.
The convention has been planned by over thirty educators representing Lubavitch schools across the U.S. Organizers are receiving feedback such as: “I can’t wait for this convention!” “Wow, what an amazing line-up!” and “It’’s great that chinuch can have its own kinus where we can really hone into the things we need to be better!”
All educators proud to bear the zchus and achrayus of Chabad Chinuch – whether teaching preschool or high school, newbies or school leaders – are invited to join and discover sessions tailored to your needs, and inspiration for another year in the classroom.
Registration closes on Monday 6:00 PM at chinuchconvention.org
