Sydney women were treated to an evening of inspiring, soulful music, followed by toe tapping dance music by the amazingly talented duo of Zahava Pinson and Rivkah Joseph.
Held at the Chabad House of Double Bay, women were taken on an incredible musical journey with the duo singing original compositions and a large range of Jewish music, inspiring and empowering women of all ages. With a love and passion for creativity, spirituality and song, their performance was unique and uplifting.
The concert coincided with the 7th of Adar, the birthday and Yahrzeit of Moshe Rabbeinu. This has a direct connection to the upcoming festival of Purim when Haman drew lots to choose a date to destroy the Jewish Nation (G-d forbid). He was delighted that the lot fell in Adar as he knew it was Moshe’s yahrzeit and thought this would bode badly for the Jewish people. Little did he know that it was also Moshe’s birth month and that gave the Jewish people extra strength and merit that ultimately led to their survival.
Zahava Pinson was raised by a family of singers and has been performing since she was a young girl. Zahava treasures the deep meaning music brings to her life. She is a wife, and mother of two beautiful boys, a student of Visual Art at RMIT University and a teacher at Yeshiva Beth Rivkah College in Melbourne. The musical duo have been delighting audiences at concerts and events in their hometown, Melbourne Australia for more than 2 years.
A huge thank you goes to the event organisers: Ziva Richter, Lisa Garlic, Shternie Althaus and Galit Gershowitz.
