“There is no ‘I’ in team, together each accomplishes more.”
The team described by Mrs. Shaindy Schapiro, Judaic Studies Principal of Bnos Menachem Elementary, includes Mrs. Esti Bryski, Mrs. Shulamis Heller, and Mrs. Miriam Lagziel—the dedicated educators who have spent years developing Bnos Menachem’s cumulative curriculum.
This standard stresses comprehension and mastery of the basics. Teachers are provided the support and resources to fully grow their courses around the student, incorporating various multi-sensory projects and activities for more creative learners.
“This approach has enabled us, as teachers, to identify potential issues early on, so we can provide the best support for our students,” says Mrs. Lagziel, a teacher in Bnos Menachem Elementary School. She added, “And we are now seeing the results. Students who are excited to learn and confident in their abilities.”
With a focus on Kriah and Chumash, the curriculum has recently expanded to include a transformative Tefillah class. Children learn to translate the davening, gaining new understanding and a deeper sense of connection to Hashem.
In all aspects, there is an emphasis on creating cohesion, from the teachers, many of whom are parents in the school and, therefore, feel personally invested, to the students and their families. Each mirrors and complements the other to create a consistent purpose and mission in life.
There is no greater gift than our children—nothing more beautiful than when a child grows to be a source of inspiration to their family, community, and to the world.
Join Bnos Menachem on Wednesday, March 1st, as they partner with Charidy in celebration of this greatest gift of all.

This is very nice to hear but it’s not really a chiddush. This is something that should be in place in EVERY elementary school. This will also make the transititon into High School easier since the high schools should be on board with what the curriculum is.
Lots of hatzlacha in the implimentation and hopefully other schools will learn from you.
