For those that are not yet in on Crown Heights’s best kept secret, visit the Levy Yitzchok Library sometime. You probably walk by it every day but don’t know. Centrally located on Kingston Ave just opposite 770, there are ongoing programs taking place there for all ages and stages.
Here is the newest one:
Mother The Mother
Conversations about Motherhood
Wednesday mornings, 11:15 am
Babies are welcome and lunch will be served
January 18 – March 22
$10 per week
‘Becoming a mother is an adjustment.’ That you’ve heard. But just how much of an adjustment….that you may not have been prepared for. This new lunch and learn will empower young moms with information. Like they also say, ‘knowledge is power.’
So if you are a new mom and would like to learn which foods to avoid while nursing, some sleep training techniques, and natural remedies in your kitchen to help fight the flu, or you are still learning to embrace your new role and would like to be inspired as a full time mom, or you’re curious as to what age chinuch starts and how, then come enjoy lunch with other women just like you!
Different topics will be covered each week by expert presenters in that field. Being more like an informal discussion rather than a lecture, mothers are welcome to bring their babies along.
RSVP in advance and enter into a raffle to win a surprise prize. Otherwise, just come on in!

This is an amazing idea that every community should have . PPD is more common than people realize and this is how we can prevent mothers feeling alone and isolated. May you have much success !! Great idea !
Anyway there could be a recording of this posted online? I would so love to be able to attend!
lots of moms (myself included) could use this and would really enjoy and benefit if it wasnt on a work day :/
keep wishing there was something like this on Sunday Mornings for working mom’s who would also love to be part of the community but sadly need to work to support.
Still, kol hakavod for seeing a need and filling it
