He was responsible for Israel’s nuclear program which by far outweighs any mistakes. Aside from that, it’s very, very disheartening to see some of the negative comments on social media. Have we forgotten everything that the Rebbe taught us about the good within every person? We say certain things before going to sleep every night as Chassidim. How much more so when somebody has passed away, R”L? How much more so when that person was responsible for Israel’s nuclear development? He did a lot for Israel. Made some mistakes, but that was probably because of U.S. putting too much pressure on him. Hey, you have no guarantee that you wouldn’t have agreed to Oslo if you were in his shoes.
