In honor of Chof Av, the 72nd Yom Hillula of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak, the Rebbe’s father, the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim has published a new booklet on his Pirushim.
The booklet, compiled by Rabbi Dovid Dubov, shliach to Princeton, NJ, and compiler of Yalkut Levi Yitzchak and the set of Yalkut Moshiach Ugeula al Hatorah, contains chosen peirushim from the Rebbe’s father, taken from the third Chelek of Yalkut Levi Yitzchak – newly published for Chof Av and available in Kehos. Bochurim and Anash around the world are using the Kovetz to prepare for Chof Av with Reb Levi Yitzchaks Torah and learn on the Yahrtzeit.
In addition, the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim is awarding every Bochur who successfully passed all tests on their Gimmel Tammuz Kovetz, – previously reported on here – with the new Sefer, Yalkut Levi Yitzchak, in honor of Chof Av.
The life of sacrifice lived by Rabbi Levi Yitzchak, as he heroically fought for yiddishkeit in the Soviet Union, is well documented, and his Chiddushim in Kabbalah and Chassidus are legendary. Although most of his writings were confiscated and destroyed by the ruthless Soviet regime, a small amount managed to escape destruction and eventually made it to the free world and were printed by the Rebbe. It is most appropriate that thousands will be studying Reb Levi Yitzchaks Torah from these seforim on Chof Av.
