In a few hours it will begin. In Moscow, the capital city of Russia. Under the title of “European Kinus HaShluchim”. Twenty five years after the previous such kinus.
Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos and Chairman of the Kinus, along with a dedicated team from the central office in NY, arrived on Friday.
Along with the team from Fleishman-Peles Productions, as well as a group of local Moscow shluchim, they have been tirelessly working together for the past few months to make this kinus a success.
The Moscow community experienced an unforgettable Shabbos with Rabbi Kotlarsky and other shluchim who have already arrived, all learning and davening together, as well as a big chassidishe farbrengen with Rabbi Berl Lazar.
And now the have begun arriving. Hundreds of shluchim from all over Europe. They are landing in three different airports in Moscow and are greeted by the Kinus representatives and shuttle busses that are whisking them off to the Marina Roscha Jewish Community Center.
In Marina Roscha there are warm mikvas, light refreshments, minyanim, chassidus classes, and delicious meals awaiting them. All after they receive a warm welcome at registration.
At 8 pm tonight, the kinus will officially open at dinner in the main shul. At 10 pm dozens of comfortable busses will take all of the shluchim on the first leg of their journey to Lubavitch, Liadi and Liozna.
