Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch is celebrating the successful completion of its 6th year of operation. Over a hundred of students, parents, and friends joined to celebrate this milestone.
Teachers and Students received award certificates and gifts. The event featured a rich entertainment program for families including the “Small Wonder Puppet Show”, a carnival, student performances, live music, and a Grand Hakhel Raffle.
Founder of CVS (Chumosh Vocabulary System), Rabbi Shoul Klein, shared a few words on the successful launching of his program in the school. OYYL has seen tremendous success with implementing this program into their Multi-Sensory Curriculum. Rabbi Klein expressed his delight on how well OYYL students adopted his program.
Established in 5770 with only 4 students, OYYL has grown into a beautiful and strong School Community with over 70 families.
Determined to live up to the goals of its mission statement, Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch, with six years of child development experience and advocacy, has designed a comprehensive program that uses principles of Chabad Chassidus as its model.
The school believes in providing youngsters with a Chassidish, safe, challenging, and supportive atmosphere in which to grow; with belief that the absence of such a setting is detrimental to a child’s growth and development.
OYYL espouses the Chassidic philosophy that we must expose children to Kosher and positive influences within a framework of activities and experiences that help youngsters both flourish and reach their full potential. Our goal each day is to create such an environment. It was this philosophy and efforts to protect and motivate children in the community that inspired founders of OYYL to establish the school.
The school’s dedicated faculty and administration work in close collaboration with families on a daily basis. Their mutual goal is to educate and prepare students who have the spiritual, academic and social tools to experience a deep-seated spiritual awareness, be in touch with their inner selves, develop healthy relationships, and be motivated to fulfill the purpose of Hashem’s creation. The OYYL curriculum is designed to develop the child’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual capabilities. We believe our program ultimately helps the parents to enhance the love, care and intellectual development they provide at home. The school’s essential goal is to develop and strengthen strong Rebbe-Chosid relationship.
“When choosing a yeshiva for their son, parents have many considerations. But one that is at the core of their decision is: ‘Will my son be happy there?’ This is what choosing a yeshiva is ultimately about, and all other things are secondary by necessity,” said parent Yaakov S. “So with that goal in mind, we can now ask some more specific questions: Will my son be happy in a really big class, or will he be lost and unnoticed? Will his Rebbi have the time and will to see him for what he really is? Will his Rebbi have the time and will to learn what works for my son, and what does not? Will his Rebbi be patient? What does yeshiva do about bullying? Will there be a lot of pressure on my son, academically, socially? In other words, will they care? Not just say they care, but actually ‘walk the walk?’ Now, having completed our third year at OYYL, we can say in confidence: They do care. A lot. Always kind, always respectful, always patient. If there is a Jewish school today that is worthy of most generous support is OYYL. What cause could be more deserving than a school that treats its every student as it was their own child?” he said.
Additional classes have been established to accommodate the growing community. Enrollment is open for new families in Preschool and Elementary grades in Girls and boys divisions. Sponsored Scholarships available for eligible families with payments as low as $50 a week.
