Musician Leibale Lipsker and singer Simche Friedman present a stirring rendition of the yud beis Tammuz niggun, composed by the chosid R’ Aron Charitonov 90 years ago, upon the release of the Previous Rebbe from Soviet prison.
The tune expresses a deep feeling of belief and conviction in Hashem and His Torah, to stand up against all obstacles and obstructions to the ways of Torah and mitzvos with mesirus nefesh.
Looking forward to a CD…?
Thank you for this work.
I would like to point out that the musical accompaniment/arrangement should reflect the nature of the song which is a yearning to see the Rebbe and his freedom, and culminating in a strong trust that that will be the case BE”H.
Whereas this music accompaniment here sounds like it’s trying to perhaps depict a prison scene – the picture should paint that of a chosid yearning for his Rebbe.
I thought the same
Looking forward for more nigunim
