Beis Chabad Ohel Devorah on Meadow Street in Melbourne, Australia recently celebrated the dedication of new gates.
The generous donation was made in honor of the event by Mrs. Elbaum and her family in honor of her late husband, Mr. Leon Elbaum obm.
Prior to inviting Mrs. Elbaum and her daughters Marline Zelwer and Bronnie Tait to unveil the plaque, the President Mordechai Feiglin told the participants of the event how honored the Shul was to have had Mr. Elbaum davening there and have his name of the front gate of the Shule. He also spoke about how glad they are to have Mrs. Elbaum as an active participant and part of the Ohel Devorah family.
At the occasion, the family presented their generous donation to the Gabai and Treasurer of the Shul, Mr. Menachem Broner.
After the unveiling, all of the participants were invited to Mrs. Elbaum’s home, for a Lechaim in honor of the occasion.
At the event Mrs. Elbaum’s grandson Brett Tait spoke of his unbelievably fond memories of his Zeida and how his Bobbe Mrs. Elbaum had always been there for them.
At the Lechayim, Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Groner, the Rabbi of Ohel Devorah then spoke and explained how the gates of the Beis HaMikdash were always protected by the Leveim and how suitable it was that Mr Elbaum who was a Levi will have his name on the gates of the Shule. He also explained how these gates will remain with the Shule, when together with all of the other Shules around the world will be reunited in Jerusalem with the ultimate redemption.
The event was attended by many members of their family as well as the families of Beis Chabad Ohel Devorah.
I look forward to attending Ohel Devorah’s Roger Chover shiurim given each Shabbos by Rabbi Shea Hecht.
I doubt if Melbourne has any other shiurim of that calibre that are available for all to attend.
great work Rabbi Groner and Mottel Feiglin

Both I and my family have always enjoyed the unparalleled hospitality of Beis Chabad Ohel Devorah, since we joined The Ohel Devorah family.
Mottel, Chaim Tzvi, Menachem and all of the rest of the committee, please keep up all of the good work that you do for the Shule, for the members and also for the rest of the community.
Also, Morry please keep on doing what you continue to do, so generously.
