Trump: Always Been Israel's Friend
Donald Trump with Israeli reporter Boaz Bismuth

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said: "My success is tremendous news for Israel. I've always been your friend."

By COLlive reporter

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump told Israel Hayom reporter Boaz Bismuth that "My success is tremendous news for Israel."

Speaking at his Mar-a-Lago Club in West Palm Beach, Trump said his win in Florida on Super Tuesday was "a big day for America and Americans and it is also a big day for me, I must admit."

Asked if his success is good news for Israel, Trump answered: "It's tremendous news for Israel. Your friend is leading in the primaries. I've always been your friend, even at the toughest moments. And that's not going to change. I love you."

The reporter asked about the Iran nuclear deal, backed by President Barack Obama, which Trump called "bad" but would not reverse it like his Republican rivals promised.

"There are some things I don't want to talk about, it would not be wise," Trump said. "But if we're talking about good news for Israel, then of course it is less good news for those who don't like Israel."

Trump speaks about staying "neutral" in the Israel-Palestinian conflict

Trump's relationship with Israel and the Jewish community is being placed front and center this week as he cancelled a debate appearance to speak at a pro-Israel conference in Washington, DC.

Trump is one of the presidential candidates that confirmed their attendance at the annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee ("AIPAC") this Monday.

"I'm making a very major speech in front of a very important group of people," Trump said on Fox News, explaining why he backed out of the Republican debate in Salt Lake City, UT. The debate was subsequently cancelled.

Trump's rivals, Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Ohio Governor John Kasich are also attending the AIPAC conference, Washington Post reported. Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden will speak there as well.

So now we see how he's trying to do it...
We all knew he would try to get to us Jews somehow, and voila here it is. I hope no one is ignorant enough to not see past his facade

if pro israel
if you are pro-israel vote for Ted Cruz - a real Israel supporter who doesn't want Israel to give up its land.

Still not sure
I'm still not sure, trump doesn't want to make it clear till he is president, and for now remaining neutral, which gives it room to think he has some sort of good israel and Palestinian deal, which he thinks is good for Israel, and that he could be israels best friend, but no deal is to be made.

I am still voting for trump because if he can temporary ban Muslim in the US I don't think he would want them to have a state in the only Jewish state.

Not a friend
"In a December interview with the Associated Press, Trump questioned Israelís commitment to peace and refused to back an undivided Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a red line for many GOP Israel supporters."

Even the Reform leader realize he's bad for Israel
From Reform Leader: "I am a Zionist dove, and I donít expect Presidential candidates to express lock-step agreement with the policies of Israelís government. But I do expect a coherent, pro-Israel policy, rooted in a consistent and knowledgeable approach to foreign affairs and in a broad commitment to American leadership in the world. Trump has demonstrated none of these things, and seems to know hardly anything at all about Israel, the challenges she faces, and how the Middle East actually works."

from the horse's own mouth, Trump would force Israel to the negotiating table
RUBIO: And To have a president forcing the Israelis to the table is harmful to the Israeli and emboldens Israel's enemies.

HEWITT: Thank you senator.

(APPLAUSE)

Mr. Trump a response and then we'll go to Governor Kasich.

TRUMP: If I become president of the United States, one of the things that will be an absolute priority is number one, protection of Israel, but also seeing if a deal can be made, the toughest deal, the toughest negotiation there probably is of any kind no matter where you look, no matter how hard you look.

But I would like to give it a shot. Very, very pro-Israel, nobody more pro-Israel. But I would love to give it a shot. And I have to tell you this, Hugh. I have friend, Israelis, non-Israelis, people from New York City that happen to be Jewish and love Israel, and some are very tough people, every single one of them, they know it's tough, but every single one of them wants to see if we could ever have peace in Israel.

Just because he says he doesnt want them in usa doesnt mean he cares if theyre in israel. Two separate places and he lives in usa not israel. Besides at least half of what he says cant be taken seriously. Not positive he will be good for israel, he can say what he wants now to win votes, and as it is he is conflicting with his positions. Sometimes he says he is the best supporter/friend to israel, and other times he says he is neutral.

Bravo! It's about time one of the "Trump Bots" made it to col comment section. You should be ashamed of yourself (if you r even a real person) Trump is fanning people's worst fears and utilizing it for his own personal gain. The man is an excellent promoter and that's about it. He actually thinks vaccines cause autism. He thinks Obama was born in Kenya. He thinks Israel is the aggressor and the list goes on.
If you think being a billionaire makes him trustworthy or fit to lead then you don't deserve to vote.

Reality
For the same reason romney did not win 2014 is the same reason that no one stands a chance against hillary other than trump!
Intresting to consider as well this thiught, we know not to ever trust the media as we can see the lies when it comes to israel, yet they tell you that trump is bad and he is this that and the other and all us big political analysts have an opinion.

And for bush being israel's freind, remember gush katif yea i thought so! it was him who came up with the road map to peace, and the two state solution.
Bottom line I see all my enemies attacking him and it reaffirms why we need him.. If he was not in the race Cruz would have been chopped up by the media long ago and we would all be talking how depressing it is that hillary is going to be our next president.

One more point
He wants the jewish vote along with all the other votes he is getting.

What you do know is that he will be so busy with the wall and all the other things he promised, that israel is not on the top of his list which is a very good thing

I've watched every republican debate and I can tell you this
Trump is the absolute worst for Israel. He simply doesn't get it, he's brainwashed by the media in this area.

Nothing more. His entire career he became rich by scamming the little guy. He's doing the same to America, now. Don't let him bankrupt America for his own gain. Do your research.

I am very definitely a real person and quite well-informed, thank you. I am sick of lying politicians who are bought by special interest. Trump has given huge money to Israel and come out for Simon Jacobson. His daughter had a real conversion, is shomer Shabbos and he has 2 Jewish grandchildren. If you listened carefully, he passionately described his great love for Israel but said he had to at least appear open to the "other side." The liberal media has run a lying smear campaign against him using despicable, cheap name-calling, which, BH, has backfired. I do not believe he is a racist or a fascist, cheap incitement. Hillary, on the other hand, is evil, and literally in bed with the Muslim Brotherhood. Trump is the only candidate with the chutzpah to take her down.

Dump Trump
Bernie Sanders is the only honest Mentch in the race. All the rest of them are grub self-serving narcissists. And spare me the "socialist" garbage; fewer communities are more dependent on state and federal welfare than frum Jews. I would love to see what would happen to Crown Heights if Ted Cruz got elected with a favorable Congress and eliminated Obamacare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Earned Income Credits, Head Start, Section 8, WIC, Pell Grants etc.

It would not be pretty.

Ultimately it's up to Hashem...
... But I sure hope G-d doesn't choose Trump. I have never witnessed a scarier ego-maniac run for office. The man is a total nut-job (and he's orange, to boot)! I fear for such a man to be in the highest office of the land. Let's vote for Bernie, the man who has a letter (with brochos) from the Rebbe and the only person with integrity running for president.

Important to vote Trump
As Jews, it is in our interest for America to be stable and successful. Hillary and Bernie would be unmitigated disasters, with Bernie having the additional issue of making a tremendous chillul Hashem. Cruz simply does not have the skills or support to lead effectively. Trump stabilizing the US is what the Jews in America and Israel need right now.

Our best choice
What if things he wants are real, and do happen under his presidency? What if he's genuine and can actually accomplish great things that do restoreour country, and protects the Jewish people here and abroad? I believe in Trump, and feel like Hashem wants to save America. Do you want sharia law? Do you want social security to end immediately? On the other hand, job growth, balanced budget, better education structure, and so much more promising and positive outcomes will happen,if you think about it. Trump is the only candidate who has actually proven himself to be successful on a global scale, and will be tough with other tough world leaders . Please don't squander your vote.
