Last week was Bais Rivkah’s global girls convention. I was humbled to have the opportunity to stand before over 1,000 of Chabad’s future leaders and Bais Rivkah’s auditorium suddenly became an overwhelmingly positive experience.
The amount of energy felt in that room was so apparent and so strong. The keynote speaker, Rabbi Scherman introduced the concept of convention and it being a year of hakhel.
The message of hakhel is to not only gather as a nation, but to gather within ourselves, to take that energy and koach that is granted to each one of us and gather our machshava, dibur and maaseh, our thoughts, speech and deeds. He explained that through building ourselves, blending the mind, body and spirit, we can focus on, invest and develop the our true identities of who we want to become. Rabbi Scherman finished with empowering the girls to realize that our dreams and passions, if fueled by the right energy, will take us further than our imagination.
Hakol Tzofei Vehareshut Netuna – Everything is determined, but the choice is our gift, manifests in Quantum Physics. The theory of Quantum Physics explains that a situation is not confirmed, it is neither black or white, right or left, up or down, etc.; Everything we see in this world is just a matter of perspective. Modern science is now telling us a fundamental concept in Torah and Chassidus: Tracht gut vezein gut, think good and it will be good. This is much more than just ‘stay positive’… Tracht gut vezein gut and hakol tzofei vehareshut netuna tells us that WE are the determining factor to what possibilities can manifest – by trachting gut – thinking good YOU are determining it to Be Good. In life HaShem ‘taps’ us, or presents a situation to us and we need to try and understand what He wants us to hear.
Many ask, how do I achieve this life filled with blessings and get to the point of deciding my outcomes, thinking positive and dancing in the rain? Parshas Re’eh answers this, where HaShem gives brochos and klalos to the Jews. It is there that the Torah tells us, tishmeun, listen. And this is the key: seeing and hearing properly, with work and self-mastery, will guide us to choose properly.
We need to learn to listen, to be quiet, to let the intuitive thought sink in. We might get right the first time on a hunch, and we might not. And that’s okay – we just need to listen again. If we want to really become ‘real’ and see the ‘realness’ in others, we need to look at their shiny spots, where they glow. As trained coaches, we take on this holy mission of helping people move on. We help them look for the unique goodness and wholeness within themselves and others, and use that to push them forward. Finding this ‘shiny spot’ can be their miracle.
More and more, we see that school educators and shluchim serve as coaches to their students, staff, their homes and communities. They might not have had an official coach training, but imagine the strength and power of one investing in his/her training, not only for the opportunity to learn professionally, but through the course, and through working on themselves, develop an ability and the kochos to guide and effectively coach. Infiniti Coaching Training gives you the opportunity to build personal mastery in leadership development and coaching, bolsters performance, and guides you to your real, authentic and powerful self.
With this understanding, that the success is within you, you have an even stronger power than just affecting your own life. With self-mastery and authenticity, you can cultivate success in areas outside of yourself and guide others to do the same.
“Emotional Equations,” The New York Times bestseller by Chip Conley, a brilliant new book that uses simple math to articulate emotions, explains Authenticity = Self-Awareness X Courage. Our true selves, our authenticity, can be clearly expressed when we are self-aware of who we are, and have the courage to use this awareness and knowledge to better ourselves.
We all have parts of ourselves that are easier to just put aside and ignore. The knowledge, of recognizing our true selves is not only valuable, but imperative information to be able to help us mature and grow. Realizing that coaches look at each individual as a whole person, who believes in us, makes us work hard and sees our potential, is what drives many to seek a coach. This was the message of Rabbi Ronnie Greenwald, to look deep and see individuals for who they are are and guide them to look into themselves for the answers.
“I know something in my life or career is not working, I keeping hitting rejection or getting stuck.”
“I am a leader (either at work or in my home) and I want to develop my leadership skills.”
“I am looking for a new tool set to handle conflict, difficult situations and crucial conversations.”
