You can now enjoy a bite from Wolf & Lamb on Eastern Parkway.
Ready to eat dishes from the staple Kosher steakhouse are now being served at the lobby cafe of the Brooklyn Museum, an art museum located in the New York City borough of Brooklyn.
The introductory menu currently includes Grilled Chicken Breast, Crispy Smoked Beef, Truffle Mayo, Sundried Tomato Wrap; Vegetable Tuna Salad, Cucumber Dill Aioli, Watermelon Radish, Whole Wheat Wrap; and Market Salad, Roasted Root Vegetables, Endive, Radichio, Balsamic Vinaigrette.
Izzy Newman, a local resident who is active in the Kashrus industry, helped make the introduction between the museum’s new food management team and Wolf & Lamb.
The pilot program to provide packaged kosher food is part of an effort to accommodate the large Jewish community of Brooklyn and the many Jewish tourists who visit the museum.
“We are happy to be able to help bring more kosher options to the neighborhood and to Brooklyn’s foremost cultural institution,” Zalman Wuensch, Wolf & Lamb’s owner and a Crown Heights resident, told COLlive.com.
“We are hopeful that this pilot program will be successful and can be expanded to other local venues,” Wuensch added, noting that the menu will change seasonally and based on customer requests and feedback.
The kosher food option isn’t limited to museum goers, he noted. “To purchase kosher food from the café one does not need a museum pass or admission. Simply mention to the guard that you would like to visit the cafe and they will allow you in.”
“We hope customers will let the museum staff know that their efforts in bringing Kosher to this prestigious cultural institution is very appreciated,” Wuensch says.
