After two exceptional summers, Yeshivas Kayitz Kingston has opened registration for the 5776 – 2016 program, beginning Wednesday, Lamed Sivan – July 6th, and ending Tuesday, Yud Tes Av – August 23rd. Applications can be filled out at https://www.ykkingston.com/. Space is limited, so please apply right away to ensure the best chance of acceptance.
Yeshivas Kayitz Kingston is a program for bochurim graduating 8th grade and shiur aleph and beis mesivta that strives to make the summer a springboard for the yeshiva year to come, rather than a time of regression or wasted time. According to Rabbi Sholom Goldstein, Yeshivas Kayitz Kingston’s executive director, “The goal is to give the bochurim the best possible time bgashmius in order that they should be able to devote themselves to ruchnius with a full energy,” he says. “By the time the summer is over, our bochurim are better prepared to succeed in the coming year.”
The learning program and day-to-day chinuch of the bochurim in the mesivta program will be overseen by Rabbi Moshe Silman of Oholei Torah Mesivta and a talented, rigorously selected staff of counselors and teachers, while Director Rabbi Yisroel Levertov will handle the gashmius of the yeshivas kayitz.
Rabbi Levertov was very excited to talk about the programs uniquely beautiful grounds, encompassing over 120 acres of gorgeous mountain property that includes a lake equipped with recreational boating, a pool, well-maintained sports fields, and comfortable bunkhouses. A state-of-the-art kitchen turns out 3 delicious and plentiful meals a day, while the two well-appointed and spacious zals allow for undistracted and focused learning. The Yeshivas Kayitz administration is also constantly investing and improving the grounds, so there may be some surprises in store.
Rabbi Levertov says that “The goal is to give the bochurim the summer of their lives.” To that end, the daily schedule has been carefully structured to give the bochurim the best possible balance between serious learning and recreation, including daily activities like swimming, boating, and sports leagues. The program also includes at least one off-grounds trip a week to various fun and exciting attractions.
This may just be Yeshivas Kayitz Kingston’s best summer yet, and one you won’t want to miss. Apply right now at https://www.ykkingston.com/.
