Girls Join Historic Rally at Ohel

This Friday, 19th of Shevat, a special rally took place at the Rebbe’s Ohel in honor of the 28th Yahrtzeit of the Rebbetzin.

The rally was organized for the girls of the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchos, but in the spirit of Hakhel and for the first time ever, the rally was broadcast so everyone from around the world could join in.

Head Counselor Mushka Paltiel of Port Washington, NY was the rally’s guest MC, and set the stage for what is being described as a “historic event.”

Mushka led the young Shluchos through the12 Pesukim, an enthusiastic “We Want Moshiach Now!” and a brief talk about the Rebbetzin, which led into a short video on the highlights of her life.

The special feature of the rally was an exclusive early viewing of a brand new video that introduces the many customs and hanhagos of a visit to the Ohel in an entertaining and kid-friendly fashion. The video was made in memory of three special daughters of Shluchim, Menucha Rochel Baumgarten OB”M, Chaya Mushka Lazar OB”M, and Chaya Mushka Spalter OB”M. The production was scripted by renowned mechaneches Mrs. Malka Touger and produced by the masterful videographer Yanki Teitelbaum. ​ ​

The young Shluchos were then dismissed, bunk by bunk, where they lined up for their turn to the Ohel, where they could put the video’s information and the rally’s inspiration to the best use.

“A special thank you goes to Mushky Gurary and Chanale Block for helping to arrange the rally,” says Tzeirei Hashluchos Camp director Mrs. Simi Shemtov.

The rally at the Ohel was arranged and coordinated on behalf of The Shluchim Office by Rabbi Bentzion and Simi Shemtov, the directors of the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchos.
