A full crowd packed the Contra Costa Jewish Day School in Lafayette, CA, to hear one author interview a second on the same topic of expertise: The Chabad Lubavitch movement.
Sue Fishkoff, author of “The Rebbe’s Army: Inside the World of Chabad-Lubavitch,” was on stage to talk with Rabbi Dovid Eliezrie, author of the new book, “The Secret of Chabad, inside the world’s most successful Jewish movement.”
Fishkoff, who edits the J newspaper of Northern California which boatsts a large Chabad presence, spoke with Rabbi Eliezrie, Director of Chabad of Yorba Linda, CA, about the writing process and his findings.
The event was organized by Chabad st Contra Costa, California, under the direction of Rabbi Dov Ber and Chaya Berkowitz.
“The Secret of Chabad” has recently been named a finalist by the National Jewish Book Awards in the category of “Contemporary Jewish Life and Practice.” The program recognizes outstanding books of Jewish interest.
“The selection of “The Secret of Chabad” is tribute to the growth of Shlichus and the Rennaissance of Jewish Life the Rebbe created,” Rabbi Eliezrie told COLlive.com.
Rabbi Eliezrie is currently on a book tour around the country presenting his fast-selling new book which depicts the events, philosophies, and personalities that have made Chabad Lubavitch a worldwide phenomenon.

This is so interesting why did it cut off at the end ?
The only issue I disagree with Rabbi Eliezrie is he says America is the best country for freedom of religion, second only to Israel. Im not sure that israel is the best country for freedom of jewish practice, but its a small point.
Fascinating discussion, but cuts off in the middle. I want to hear the whole thing !!!
