As record numbers of students participate in The Rohr Jewish Learning Institute’s fall course “Journey of the Soul,” a new video was produced to promote Lesson 4.
Titled “Conversation in the Womb,” it includes a parable about twins in utero debating the existence of life “after birth.”
The central message of the parable is that there is something beyond our present state of existence, beyond earthly life in this world.
The fact that we can barely comprehend or envision that higher form of experience is, after all, to be expected; it is an entirely different world.
Not only is it an entirely different world, but we are so entrenched in the reality of our own world and experience—it is so real.

More videos can be found at myjli.com/journey which was created to provide the program’s 22,000 participants at over 350 locations worldwide with a multi-audio-visual review of what they learned and the ability to study more about the topic.
Features of the site include a view of the Power Point slides presented in class, the documentary-style video clip that was featured, as well as supplementary articles and additional readings.
Thanks for sharing the source for both the song and the JLI the course. Although JLI still got the course name from Rotenberg.
Based on a parable by early rabbinic sources. That is where Abbie Rotenberg and JLI got it from.
The famous EGG theme of the Moshalim Rishonim, (ei. Bachaya ibn Pakuda, shaar habithachon, and others. ..)
This parable is generally attributed to the gesher hachayim volume three
