Two female Arab terrorists attempted to turn one of Israel’s most famous outdoor marketplaces into a bloody scene on Monday.
Their weapon of choice? A pair of scissors.
The Muslim girls, aged 14 and 16, came to Shuk Machane Yehuda in Jerusalem with the intention of harming Jewish locals or tourists in the popular and highly populated shopping and eating area.
They managed to stab two civilians before being neutralized by gunfire from security forces, with the fire killing one of them, IsraelNationalNews.com reported.
Ironically, the victim they chose in their stabbing was a 70-year-old Arab resident of Bethlehem, who they apparently mistook for a Jew.
“It was a miracle,” says Rabbi Tzvi Ruderman, Director of Chabad of Machane Yehuda-Davidka. “This is a very crowded place with thousands of people passing by daily.”
The Etz Chaim building that is located 10 meters from the site of the incident is where the Frierdiker Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Schneersohn, visited in 5689.
An management official of the market told Rabbi Ruderman that he feels the miracle happened because of the year-round spiritual activities offered by Chabad in the area.
“We obviously aren’t deterred and will continue spreading Judaism with all our might,” Rabbi Ruderman told COLlive.com.
As he prepares for the Chanukah, placing a large public Menorah in the market, Rabbi Ruderman says he is also working on upgrading their outreach to locals and visitors.
Why isn’t the State of Israel punishing Arabs properly?
Instead, they treat them as royals.
We certainly shouldn’t give them work when they teach their young children to kill. When there is an enemy among you, “lo sichoneim”.
And we should always prefer to give business to Jews even if it costs more, because the Torah clearly states: “v’chay achicha imoch”.
Last time I researched it, new olim are not allowed to bring a gun, and have to wait some ridiculous amount of time (I think 4 years) before being allowed to get one there. Of course, this assumes the new oleh intends to obey the law. Or has the law changed? If so, could you please provide a link?
Oh yes, we are! We ARE celebrating that another terrorist is off the streets. Unfortunately, another 20 will pop up to take her place. So we need to be vigilant & destroy them before they can attack.
To #11 – just an excuse. I can use a gun & I made Aliyah, no gun, no permit – you think that’s the only thing stopping you? Be honest, you’re afraid. Nothing to do with gun permits, if you move to the shtachim you will get your gun.
Just a couple of hours later I took the light rail from Machane Yehuda to the end of the line, Pisgat Zeev. There was heavy security at every stop – EXCEPT Damascus Gate, Ammunition Hill, Shu’afat & Beit Hanina – all stops where it is exclusively Arab or there have been incidents in the past. No security there at all. I want all you comfortable Jews in Golus sheb’Golus AKA USA to know this – Yes, we are under attack. Yes, the rest of the world couldn’t care less. But we need you! We need your tourism, your financial support… Read more »
Hashem rly does punish measure for measure
There is nothing to celebrate because everyday yidden are getting killed in Isreal, In the last 3 days there was 3 young adults that got killed by terror so it is not okay it wont be okay till they stop killing out brothers and sisters
Hashem is always watching over us. Let us daven that Moshiach should come and the arabs will get pay back for everything they did to us. Moshiach Now!!
maybe I understood your comment wrong but just stating a fact YES on one hand we have to be so happy that it was not another yid and another hid was saved but it is still SO not ok and we have to demand for moshiach to come now now like now now now!!! Times 10
No one’s celebrating that an Arab died! We’re celebrating and have the full right to celebrate that a jew was NOT killed this time!!!
yes it is a miracle and I also want to say we want Moshiach now and I mean now excellent beautiful miracle keep it up let’s not give up
Many of us in chutz la’aretz would consider making aliyah if Israel didn’t prohibit new olim from owning a gun. Maybe people here with influence can get this changed.
what happened to the second girl?
I find it really like that’s you get miss but on the other hand I also aggre that the fact the one fellow yid, a brother was hurt is a good enough reson to cry and DEMAND “ad mosay!!!!!!!” Why isn’t moshiach here?!?!?!
i get that a jew was not hurt this time around and that these jihad nuts were probably aiming for a jew and missed. however, the fact that someone else was stabbed should not be celebrated. the highlight should not be that an arab was killed; it should be that these two girls were killed for harming others. who was killed should not matter this much
i understand these girls feel like theyre missing out on the action while their dear fathers and brothers are having so much “fun”, but they should really stay home.
whats your point 1 is a good arab citizen (80) which in Israel we have the MORAL obligation to protect him
who was the second person that got stabbed? and were they okay
The Israeli Government also ‘Misses the Mark.’
Guns & training for every adult Israeli Jew & Jewish tourist. Let terrorists know that every attempt at murder WILL BECOME A SUICIDE MISSION!
The article said 2 civilians were stabbed, only 1 being an Arab. That’s still 1 Jew too many who got injured.
Our tehilim is working!!! Please continue saying tehilim for the safety of yidden everywhere! Let’s continue to see such open miracles!!!!
