Project Shlichus – Inspire the future. Build the future. Live the future.
In preparation for Rosh Chodesh Kislev and the annual International Kinus Hashluchim. Cheder Menachem’s 7th and 8th grade culminated four weeks of “Project Shlichus” with a glamorous Gala banquet.
This program instilled in our talmidim, to make an impact on the world in every way they can, as individual people with individual life situations, no matter where they live or how old they are.
The Kinnus entrance lanyard and card was given out to those who completed the five step program.
Ach Gadol: The older talmidim were teamed up with a younger student in Cheder to teach and inspire him just like Shluchim do with their “Baalei Battim” Not only did they learn with their “younger brothers” but they built strong relationships extending to the school hallways.
Shluchim Connect: The talmidim were connected to a Shliach their same age who are learning on the Nigrei Shluchim Online School. The talmidim Farbrenged with their shliach about Inyonei Hashlichus and exchanged inspiring thoughts over the phone.
The Real Deal: The talmidim had the opportunity to hear from a real Shliach once a week, on what it means to live on Shlichus.
Plugged In: The talmidim made sure to stay connected to the משליח at all times, by filling out the “daily directive” of the Rebbe.
Peula Planner The talmidim themselves planned and organized Hakhel Peulas for their family and friends.
After a month of experiencing what it means to be a Shliach, the talmidim were well deserving of an International Kinnus Hashluchim banquet mirroring their fellow shluchim worldwide.
After registering and receiving their ID’s they traveled in classy SUVs to workshops, seminars and a grand banquet at Abba’s restaurant. They were treated with the utmost elegance and were entertained by multi-dimensional entertainment. The talmidim heard from Shliach Rabbi Chaim Mentz (Bel-air, CA) and Keynote speaker and comedian Reb Simcha Levenberg, as well as Rabbi Greenbaum. Everyone left motivated and inspired to continue lighting up the world in their own way!
Special thanks our 7th and 8th grade extra-curricular director, and to the Cheder PTA for the incredible décor at the banquet.

Why wasn’t he mentioned? From start to finish he poured his HEART AND SOUL into this project. He gives himself completely over to the boys of Cheder Menachem and Unzere Kinder. LA is lucky to have him! (Just as South Africa was last year and Crown Heights the year before) He literally CHANGES LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
your namesake is very very proud of you .
Jj gr8 job keep it up !!!!!
From beginning to end you did great!
Organized, planned, decorated and did all of this from beginning to end!!! So talented so creative and A real Mentch
The organizer spent the entire night after the kinnus, going from shliach to shliach asking them to take off their very own lanyards and handing it over for the Anash children of Los Angeles. Most of us did, without thinking twice.
Now I forever grateful that me and my chaverim did, for such a fantastic peula.
My son was called by a boy named Levi 2 separate occasions. Thank you Nigrei Shluchim Online School for allowing them to connect their children with ours.
All in all….AMAZING
TAKE A MOMENT AND LOOK OUT FOR EVERY LITTLE DETAIL. The boys got lanyards, the signs, the visualization. Check out the fancy transportation for the boys, instead of a typical yellow bus. Workshops, farbrengens, seminars, speakers, menus, programs…. and I was not even there. My son came home beyond amazed at the program. They were entertained and treated with utmost class. Such positive reinforcement is what does it for our kids. Kol HAKAVOD
Great idea and great message!! Wish Crown Heights would have this.
Cheder Menachem Los Angeles, leading the way in chinuch for our children!! Always something hands-on, innovative, and inspirational!!
RABBI MENTZ is a one if a kind Shliach!!! One of the greatest role models to the boys of what a true Chossid and Shliach is!!!
