Moshe Holtzberg, 9, will be participating in the annual International Kinus Hashluchim convention in Brooklyn, NY, as part of the global family of Chabad Shluchim.
His parents, Rabbi Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg were murdered by terrorists who hijacked their Chabad center in Mumbai, India, not long after the Kinus in 2008.
Moshe was miraculously rescued by his Indian nanny Sandra Samuel. His cry “Ima, Ima” (mother, mother) during a memorial ceremony shattered the hearts of people around the world.
The young Holtzberg is currently being raised by his grandparents Rabbi Shimon and Yehudit Rosenberg in Afula and studying in a Chabad school.
He is scheduled to recite a chapter of Tehillim at the gala banquet concluding the convention at the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal in New York on Sunday, November 8, 2015. It will be attended by 5,600 Shluchim and their guests from around the world.
Presenting the keynote at the banquet will be Rabbi Shloime Chein, Director of the Chabad Student Center at University of California in S. Cruz, CA.
“The Rebbe’s vision for a strong, connected Jewish community all over the world is continuing to blossom and take shape, and it’s such an honor to be a part of it,” he said ahead of his speech.
just like he cried out “!אמא אמא” we should also cry out “!עד מתי”
so sad my mosjie be blessed with lot of love and hapirness
Looks like his ima. Tzadik you are part of all of us! May HaShem bring mashiach just for you Moishe!!
May MOSHIACH come NOW. After that, there won’t be any more tears to be shead!!
What”s wrong with expressing emotions ? WE should never forget this tragedy! why this kaltkit ? let us cry out to hashem for all the tzoros ! all the yesomim ! and let us cheer on moshy and let him know how much we love him. and think of him. and what a good job his bubby and zady are doing . may thy see a lot of nachas from him .
it’s both touching and heartwarming to see Moishe’leh developing so nicely, Baruch Hashem. May he continue to bring his family, friends, and klal Yisroel much nachas.
I do pray, however, that they don’t turn any part of the kinnus into a tearjerker, especially with Moishe’leh present. That would be so unfair and difficult for the child.
Wish you all the best always! Your Grandparents are doing a great job!!!
Oy, we remember that day like today!
You are growing into such a beautiful ingele!
May you have only simchos and brochos!
We are all shepping nachas from you!
Moishy may you grow up be a big tzaddick! You should give pearnts much nachas!! I get chills and cry every time I think or see it!!
May you moishy continue to bring his ima and aba much nachas and the familie, and of course the rebbe mhm!to the one saying about leave the child alone? !I agree but he’s a shliach represents his parents!they deserve the nachas!
B’ezras Hashem, Moshiach will come and it will be kinnus for ALL Yidden, Gabi and Rivki included together with all those who died al kiddush Hashem.
sorry, Moishy deserves a normal childhood.
Let him grow up without this shadow hanging over his head.
You don’ know what a person remembers even though he was young maybe he shouldn’ keep seeing that video I can remember from when I was 2 when my grandmother a’h passed away the room where people were standing it could really deep inside be too much for him
Oy, we remember that day like today!
You are growing into such a beautiful ingele!
May you have only simchos and brochos!
We are all shepping nachas from you!
Cannot watch the video without crying.
Moshe, may you grow up to be a true Chayol! You are truly special!
We Sandra Samuel will also be at the Kinus.
Let him grow up as a normal child. Stop publicizing his every acheivement.
What a fine young boy you are becoming. May you grow up to serve Hashem all the days of your life and be a lite unto the world for his purposes and glory.
He’s really grown up!!!
What a cutie.
His Nanny is a hero. Is she still part of his life? I hope so, she’s extremely amazing.
When he comes to the podium
A baby who’s crying “Ima!” , Your people who are crying “Aba!”…Mashia’h ! What are you waiting for ???
Nothing like that Cry for “Ima”…still so raw!! Moshiach Now!!
I heard so much about him. The whole story is such a miracle.
Hashem should give this innocent, sweet child as much happiness in life as He has to give, because there is nothing more terrible than what happened to him. And please, Hashem, stop letting our people be stripped from this world, where their families’ souls cry out for them so bitterly. We can’t take the pain any more Moshiach now!
Isn’t he turning nine on Rosh Chodesh Kislev ? Mazal tov Moshe ! And may Hashem shower upon you all your heart’s desires LeTovah veLivracha with the Geula shleima and being reunited with your dear parents immediately Now !
I remember this as if it was yesterday, so many years have passed and the pain is still so raw. May Moishele grow up to be everything his Parents wanted of him, and may he only experience happiness and good from now on.
he was 2 years old at the time of the tragedy…can’t wait to watch it!
The video is so sad 🙁
What more can we say? We still feel the pain.
