In honor of his 35th annual Kidushim distributions and the year of Hakhel, R’ Nachum Markowitz unveiled a moving tribute to his friend, the late Rabbi Binyomin Klein OBM.
“From the moment I arrived to 770, Rabbi Klein was so kind and friendly to me,” Markowitz recalls. “when we started the Kidushim he and his Rebbetzin were pillars of support, encouragement, and friendship.”
Four commercial trucks are filled to capacity with provisions for Yom Tov, with vast quantities of additional pallets of food lining Eastern Parkway.
“The Rebbe instructed that this be ‘a continual project, always increasing,'” Markowitz maintains, “this is a sacred duty, and it’s all thanks to the donors who have partnered with me throughout the years.”
When asked about the “miracles” attributed to his blessings, R’ Nachum refers us to an answer from the Rebbe, “great is the Mitzvah of Eshel to thousands of Jews, particularly in an auspicious hour, for blessings from the source of all blessings.”
