It’s great that they did this expensive event, however you can’t expect people to help with this during a month like tishrei, when we have to feed families plus thousands of guests, and many of us are choking as is, barely paying rent and tuition.

If organizers can’t get all the money before, then don’t do it. The rebbe didn’t allow Shluchim to go into debt for peulos.

A MESSAGE FROM RABBI WEINBAUM:

I hope you enjoyed last night we saw the rebbes promise for success for what ever you undertake and work hard for hakhel. From the weather to the incredible turn out. From the amazing people like mendy baron and Choni melicky who dedicated weeks of their life for no charge to incredible support from the community and people around the world, helping us raise 104,700 dollars. Music for sale?
October 2, 2015 10:21 am

It was absolutely beautiful!

The crown heights boys choir was really great, the sweetest Mostbeautiful boys. Chicories heard In a while.

Is there a recording available?

Are they going to sell a music track of all the music? It was amazing!!!

Despite the rain, it was so beautiful – reminded me of “the old days.” Everyone should do whatever they can – but everyone should give SOMETHING. All of those $18 Chais add up too!
We really can’t expect these talented people to do this again for us to enjoy if we can’t find a way to pitch it & help. Please tell your guests – they should also contribute.

So sad

Why do people have such mesiras nefesh to do something so incredible for the entire community and everybody enjoyed it so much yet they are left with tens of thousands of chovos.

I don’t have any money, in fact this tishrei I borrowed 1,000 to make yom tov.

But I will be putting $140 gematriya hakhel on my card.

If 250 people will join me there will be no chovos left.

Are you in?
