Women Learn Parenting With Love

Last week, hundreds of women gathered together to learn some new parenting techniques.

Rabbi Yossi and Rochy Hirsch, nationally certified trainers in the Nurtured Heart Approach, skillfully imparted important and new methods that can easily be implemented in any relationship.

Originally created by Howard Glasser as a method to work with high-intensity children, the approach has now proven to help all children regulate their behaviors and develop a strong sense of self-worth.

The audience learned how to bring out the best in their children, foster positive relationship with their children and some novel solutions in challenging situations. The Hirsh duo role-played several scenarios to drive their points home.

Adding to the warm ambiance was a delectable soup and salad bar, generously sponsored by Raskin’s Fruits and Kaff Kafe.

In addition, the event featured the first ever Children’s Expo.

“Crown Heights has so many talented women with home businesses geared to providing a more meaningful childhood for our children,” said a Junior N’shei Coordinator. “It was nice to see so many of them join together at the Children’s Expo. We hope to expand the expo next year,” she said.

Next up, June 1st for a the closing event of 5775- a Shalom Bayis Workshop.
