Know where to resupply. On a long trip, you may not be able to bring a full supply of food so knowing where you might find more is key. Also, knowing what kosher options can be found at a regular store wherever you are going is helpful as some countries do not have the same easy labels that exist in the US or Canada.

Be sure to know what is allowed to be brought into each country. Meat/poultry/nuts have many restrictions. Taking fruit into some parts of the USA from another state is also restricted.

Rabbi Rubin writes a very practical and down to earth article. He does not put himself on a pedestal and talks about the dangers of travelling in a very honest way. Thank you so much!
